One mention is all it takes.

Use SennChan in a server’s regular text channel. Mention the bot or reply directly to one of its messages. You do not need to run a command to ask a question.

1. Find the right channel. The bot needs permission to view it, send messages, and read message history.
2. Mention or reply. Ask your question in the same message. Direct requests are handled as required replies, though safety checks, outages, or permission changes can prevent a normal answer.
3. Continue the thread. Reply to the bot to keep talking. A temporary Thinking message may appear before the answer.

Supported here: server text channels. Direct messages, threads, forum posts, and voice channels are outside the current bot’s chat flow.

Let the conversation come naturally.

A member with Manage Channels can run /install in a text channel. Once enabled, SennChan can decide whether to join a conversation without a mention. Silence can be intentional: the bot does not answer every message.

Run /uninstall to return that channel to mention-or-reply mode. This changes automatic replies; it does not erase history or stop logging messages the bot can still access.

Three commands. Clear controls.

Command responses are visible only to the caller, but are recorded in private operator logs. /usage uses current Wafer rates where supported; it is not an invoice. It excludes embedding, other models, and missing or deleted usage records. Choose the correct application when several bots share the same commands.

A conversation with context.

SennChan can use recent messages and previously saved messages from the same channel. With semantic memory configured, relevant older messages may also be retrieved. This includes conversations between other members; memory is selective and can be incomplete.

Gentle and courteous, with a little reserve. She aims to give a complete answer without overexplaining. Traditional Chinese without clear Cantonese wording defaults to Taiwanese-style written Chinese / Mandarin. Clear Cantonese wording guides the bot toward Hong Kong Cantonese. You can state your preferred language in your message.

Discord receives the public answer, without internal reasoning or source lists. Inputs, selected context, replies, decisions, tool activity, and model-supplied reasoning or sources may still be retained in private operator logs.

A little help, when available.

OCR can read an image attached to your current message or to the message you directly reply to. If it cannot read it, paste the text or describe the image. Never upload passwords, credentials, or other sensitive material.

Keep the channel comfortable.

General channels use a general-audience persona. Age-restricted channels use separate input and candidate-answer checks before an answer is delivered. An age restriction does not guarantee approval: prohibited requests can still be refused, and provider rules also apply.

Age-restricted content is for adults aged 18 or over, subject to local law and Discord’s rules. Sexual content involving minors or minor-coded characters is prohibited. Do not use the bot for harassment, exploitation, privacy violations, or other unlawful activity.

If the operator allowlists the other companion bots, their completed replies may enter context and trigger a limited follow-up in installed channels. Each bot must be installed separately. By default, each evaluates at most one peer message per human message, with a 60-second cooldown and a human message within the last 120 seconds. Operator settings can change these limits.
