1. Scope and operator
These Terms govern the Kurone Discord bot and its companion documentation (the “Service”), maintained by Gary05CX, reachable on Discord as gary05cx (“we”, “us”). Kurone is an independent community character project. It is not an official product of Discord or of a model provider, and a character’s appearance does not identify the model currently used.
By installing the bot or deliberately interacting with it, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or interact with it. A person authorizing installation for a server must have the necessary authority. The Privacy Policy explains processing that may also affect other members of accessible channels.
2. Eligibility and platform rules
You must meet Discord’s minimum age and the minimum age required by your local law. If you lack legal capacity to agree, your parent or guardian must agree where required. You must follow the Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, applicable law, and your server’s rules.
Age-restricted content is available only to adults aged 18 or over where lawful, in properly age-restricted spaces, and subject to Discord and model-provider restrictions. A channel label or a successful safety check is not permission to request prohibited content.
3. Conversation and optional features
Kurone can respond to mentions and direct replies in server text channels. In a channel enabled with /install, it can decide whether to join a conversation without being addressed. Context may include other members’ recent and previously stored messages in that channel. Optional features include semantic retrieval, public-topic web search, local image-text recognition, and limited interaction with specifically allowed companion bots.
Direct calls are treated as requests requiring a response, but successful delivery or a substantive answer is not guaranteed. Safety checks, rate limits, missing permissions, outages, and provider restrictions can result in a refusal, error, delay, or no delivery. Features and configured providers may change.
4. Server administrators
Before enabling the bot, explain its presence, message logging, context use, and external processing to affected members, and make this Privacy Policy accessible. Configure only appropriate channel access and obtain any permissions or consents required by law. Do not give the bot access to confidential spaces without authorization.
Manage Channels is required for /install and /uninstall; Manage Server is required for /usage. Run installation controls separately for each bot and channel. /uninstall disables automatic replies; it does not stop accessible-message logging or delete stored data. Revoke channel access or remove the bot to stop future access, and contact us separately about deletion.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not request, produce, or distribute sexual content involving minors or minor-coded characters, exploitation, or non-consensual sexual material.
- Do not use the Service for threats, harassment, fraud, unlawful activity, or disclosure of another person’s private information.
- Do not submit passwords, access tokens, payment information, or other highly sensitive information.
- Do not bypass safety checks, channel restrictions, permissions, rate limits, or peer-conversation limits.
- Do not disrupt the Service, automate abusive traffic, or use the bot to extract another channel’s information.
- Respect intellectual property rights and submit only material you are entitled to share and process.
6. AI output and reliance
Responses are generated by AI and can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or inappropriate. Character dialogue is fictional and is not a statement from a real person. OCR can misread text; search can fail or return unreliable material; memory can omit context. Public replies omit internal reasoning and source lists even when those are recorded privately.
Use your own judgment and independently verify important information. The Service does not replace qualified medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. You are responsible for decisions and actions you take using a response.
7. Your content and project materials
You retain any rights you have in content you submit. You authorize the limited processing, storage, and transmission necessary to operate the Service as described in the Privacy Policy. This does not transfer ownership of your content or authorize its sale or use for model training.
AI outputs may be similar to outputs given to others; originality, exclusivity, and third-party rights clearance are not guaranteed. Character artwork, names, and third-party materials remain subject to their respective owners’ rights. These documents do not grant a trademark or artwork license.
8. Availability and usage estimates
The Service is provided on an available basis without a service-level commitment. We may update, limit, suspend, or stop it, including to address abuse, security, provider changes, or legal obligations. We may restrict users or servers that violate these Terms.
/usage reports an operator-side cumulative estimate using supported current model rates. It is not an invoice, historical billing statement, user payment request, or authorization to charge you. It may omit embedding, other models, and unavailable or deleted usage records. The bot has no payment-collection command.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or non-infringement. To that same extent, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or limits consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including any mandatory remedies under applicable law.
10. Changes and ending use
We will publish revisions here with an updated date. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate available channel before they take effect where required. Continued deliberate use after the effective date is subject to the revised Terms. If you disagree, stop using the Service and, if you administer a server, remove or restrict the bot.
Ending use or removing the bot does not itself erase existing records. Retention and deletion are described in the Privacy Policy. Mandatory law prevails over any conflicting provision; an unenforceable provision does not invalidate the rest of these Terms.

For support, abuse reports, questions about these Terms, or an appeal of a restriction, contact Discord: gary05cx. Identify Kurone and the relevant server or message IDs. Contact us privately rather than posting sensitive material publicly. We will handle concerns in accordance with applicable law; these Terms do not require arbitration or waive mandatory legal rights.
